A VOICE FOR THE WORKING PEOPLE OF ALABAMA
MEET BOBBY
Bobby Wayne Martin Jr. — A Working Man’s Voice for Alabama
Bobby Wayne Martin Jr. is a working man, a pastor, and someone who believes Alabama’s government ought to look out for regular folks, not the powerful. He was raised across the rural South, learning hard work on a farm long before most kids were out of bed — feeding animals, tending crops, and learning that if you want something tomorrow, you put in the work today.
Moving from place to place as a kid taught Bobby how to adapt quick, meet people where they are, and figure things out when life throws curveballs. Bobby and his wife, Jean, have made Tuscumbia their home for 20 years, raising three children who’ve grown into a professor, a nurse, and a millwright.
Before ministry, Bobby worked the kinds of jobs that everyday Alabamians know well — sales, factory floors, and later design work. He’s seen how hard people work, how much they carry, and how often they’re overlooked. As a member of Cowboy Church of Franklin County, he has spent over a decade serving folks who need someone in their corner. The church builds ramps for those who can’t get in and out of their homes, supports people battling addiction, and brings the community together through simple, honest fellowship.
Bobby is running for Alabama State Senate because he believes leadership is service, not status. After years of watching politicians talk big and deliver little, he’s stepping up to fight for working families.
His plan is straightforward:
end property tax on primary homes,
offer two years of free community college or trade training,
and remove state income tax for those making under $100,000.
To Bobby, these aren’t political talking points — they’re about giving folks some breathing room and a fair shot.
Grounded in faith, shaped by hard work, and driven by a heart for people, Bobby Martin is ready to go to Montgomery and fight for the folks who actually make Alabama run.
FAMILY MAN
Bobby and his wife, Jean, have been married for 25 years and make their home in Tuscumbia, Alabama, where they cherish the small-town spirit and down-to-earth values that define Northwest Alabama. Jean is a small business owner, and together they have three children: Breanna, a chemistry professor and mother of three; Emma, a registered nurse; and Bobby, a millwright with the local union.
I Can’t Do This Without My Neighbors Behind Me.
Running this campaign for State Senate District 6 has reminded me of something I’ve known my whole life: nothing worthwhile gets done alone. I’m not backed by big donors or political insiders. It’s just regular folks like you who believe Alabama can do better.
I don’t like asking people for money — I know how hard folks work for what they have. But the truth is simple: signs, fuel, meeting with voters, and getting our message out all cost money. If you’re able to help, even a little, it truly makes a difference.
Whether it’s $10, $25, or whatever you can spare, every dollar goes straight into reaching the people I’m hoping to serve. I promise you this: I won’t waste a penny, and I won’t forget who made this campaign possible.
If you believe in what we’re trying to do — putting working families first and bringing honesty back to leadership — I’d be grateful for your support.
And I’ll work every day to earn the trust you place in me.
